Building your OffPOD:

STEP 1. CHOOSE YOUR CLADDING: please see the last three pictures that show the cladding options in the same order as below…

STEP 2. DO YOU HAVE A SUITABLE BASE? We use reputable, professional Groundscrew installers for our bases. Your OffPOD will be fixed to 9 x 800mm screws that will be driven into the ground. The beauty of the Groundscrew system is that they can be easily removed and holes back filled when the OffPOD is removed. We offer a 10 year guarantee on all our Groundscrew installs. Cost - £675.00 extra.

As our Pods are designed to be able to sit on any flat stable base, if you already have an adequate location in your garden you will not need to select this service, terms and conditions apply.

STEP 3. WOULD YOU LIKE TO ADD COMPOSITE DECKING? We also offer Decking as an option. If selected your pod will be built onto a 3M x 3M decking base with a range of 2 colours, Teak and Black. All our decking is made for Wood, Plastic Composite (WPC) which is 100% recycled.

To continue with the high durability and longevity theme, our decking frame is made from galvanized steel instead of traditional timber.

Note - WPC decking will lose 30% of its colour after 6 months, this is normal as the composite material weathers. Cost - £504.00 extra.

STEP 4. CHOOSE YOUR ELECTRICAL INSTALL All our electrical installs are carried out by trained qualified electricians and will be onsite the week before your OffPOD is due to arrive.

If you are unsure on what route to go down don’t worry, just skip this step and we can discuss the options with you during the site survey.

1. As Standard: As standard our OffPOD will be fitted with a 2 way consumer unit which will have 2 breakers, one for the lights and one for the sockets, as standard we will connect from the Pod to an available power point around the vicinity of the proposed OffPOD location. Upon site survey, your OffPOD representative will asses the available power point prior to order confirmation. Please note that a suitable power supply must be available prior to the site survey. No Extra Cost.
2. Basic: As part of our Basic Install, a qualified electrician will run a fuse spur off an existing internal socket, and run a 4mm cable to the Pods Point of Use (POU). The cable will be run ABOVE ground and clipped neatly to suitable solid structure i.e. boundary wall. Once at the Pods POU it will terminate to a male 240v Commando Socket ready for plugging into the OffPOD. You will be limited to the devices you can plug into as the fuse spur will be rated to 13A. Confirmed list of devices will be: -Laptop/PC Tower -Monitor -Phone Charger -Heater (OffPOD specified 600w) -Desk Lamp Cost - £560.00 extra.
3. Advanced: An advanced install will involve running a cable from your home consumer unit via either a spare breaker (or a newly installed one if a spare is not available) to the Pods point of use. Like the basic install the cable will be clipped ABOVE ground to a suitable solid structure i.e. boundary wall. Alternatively the cable can be buried underground (where possible) for an additional cost, which will be discussed during your site survey This installation will allow for additional devices to be plugged into the Pod such as, bigger heater (600w +), Air Conditioning Unit and a Television. Due to the amount of unknowns with this install its difficult to put a price on it. A quote will be provided during the site survey. Price On Application.

STEP 5. CHOOSE YOUR OPTIONS

1. Underfloor Heating - £500.00: ProWarm™ Electric Underwood Heating Mats provide a reliable and effective underfloor heating system that work with laminate floors, engineered wood floors and solid wood floors. Each ProWarm™ underwood heating system and thermostat comes with a Lifetime Guarantee
2. Decking Lights - £150.00: For that additional wow factor add LED decking lights. We’ll install 2 lights (one either side of the Pod) which will be wired to an internal switch within the Pod.
3. Air Conditioning - £1,000.00: Enjoy unrivalled performance with the latest 2020 range of electriQ Eco Friendly wall-mounted Air Conditioners. You can using your smartphone to control the temperature and schedule your air conditioner from anywhere. This cost-effective, energy-efficient unit will economically cool or heat rooms up to 30 sqm in size. It has the added advantage of being exceptionally quiet so you will forget it is even there. The unit also features a built-in dehumidifier function to remove excess moisture which further helps improve the air you breathe.

In the vast majority of cases your OffPOD will not need planning permission to be installed in your back garden. If for some reason you do need permission we will be able to identify this during your site inspection and advise you accordingly.

Delivery AND installation is free of charge to England. If delivery is required to Scotland or Wales additional charges may apply. All goods will be delivered on site on day of installation by our designated OffPOD team.

An adult must be on site on the morning of installation to welcome the team. Having to rearrange delivery will result in a £500 fee.

If the installation date needs changing for any reason this can be rearranged up to 2 days before original installation date without charge.

Side/Back access to the garden will be required along with adequate parking for our delivery van (Mercedes Sprinter). A working water and electrical supply will be needed.
